We are passing the and stopped because the parking lot was full. It was a great decision!! We had the special of the day - country fried steak, the patty melt, and a burger & fries. Everything was delicious!! You can tell that the cook puts her love into every plate.
Visiting from ILLINOIS. husband and I had brunch here and it was FANTASTIC!! Biscuits and gravy, eggs, hash browns and bacon. I know bacon is just always good but their bacon was TO Die FOR! The waitress was sweet, place was clean. I loved the hometown hospitality. Well worth the stop!!! We wished we could've gone back for their brunch specials!!
Our visit turned out well enough. My one complaint... They'd already stopped serving breakfast. BUT, I understand these smaller places have to switch over, and can't necessarily serve breakfast all day. Just bums me out! Hubs and I ordered the specials (meat loaf / port cutlet) which both came with 3 sides. My piece of meat loaf was on the small side, but when you have 3 things to go with it, it works GREAT! The pork cutlet was huge though. We both enjoyed our meals. The prices were reasonable, especially considering all the price hikes after COVID. Would stop here again, but would try for breakfast...
The food is cooked just right and DELICIOUS! We had breakfast there, the service was great and the place is clean. This is not a fancy place but that's not what matters. I will definitely return there to eat again.
